Come to a Housewarming Party

"No Place Like Home," or the Blue House“There’s No Place Like Home,” also known as the Blue House, is coming to a neighborhood near you.

The 13-foot-tall Victorian house, created by Lucia Neare’s Theatrical Wonders, will roam the streets of Seattle on an alternative energy truck to deliver messages of energy conservation and sustainability. The first stop on the tour will be Jefferson Park on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.  All performances are free.

The housewarming party will host several tours through Seattle neighborhoods and other performances including Nov. 24 for Seattle Center’s Winterfest and Dec. 8 for the Greenlake Festival of Lights. Specific dates, times and locations can be found at www.bluehouseseattle.org. Keep up with the Blue House at facebook.com/BlueHouseSeattle and on Twitter @BlueHouseSEA.

There’s No Place Like Home is inspired by Community Power Works with support from Seattle City Light. It was commissioned by the Seattle Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs.
