Throughout the weekend of May 3 and 4, celebrate the legacy of urbanist Jane Jacobs through a series of FREE walks across the Puget Sound region. Explore your neighborhoods, make new friends, and learn something new about the community!

Last year, more than 150 people joined Feet First’s signature event that featured twelve walks from Edmonds to Rainier Beach, and everywhere in between. Participants explored an urban marsh, toured urban orchards, and learned about several new developments and how these pieces of the conversation impact walking.

This year, help us to have an even bigger event. Join trained Neighborhood Walking Ambassadors and Feet First community partners who are preparing to lead fifteen entertaining, informative walks in Bellevue, Edmonds, Issaquah, Kenmore, and Seattle. Jane’s Walk is estimated to bring out over 375 people from across the region. Find out what walks are available and sign up through the Feet First Walks Meetup group.

Jane’s Walk in the Puget Sound region is part of a global celebration featuring 800 walks across more than 100 cities worldwide. This international event started in Toronto in 2007 by friends of Jane Jacobs who wanted to honor her lifelong efforts to champion cities planned for and by people.
