The Environmental Justice Fund, Duwamish River Opportunity Fund, Food Equity Fund, and the King Conservation District Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program are now accepting applications for community-led projects focused on environmental and/or food justice.
Environmental Justice Fund
The Environmental Justice Fund is managed by the Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment and is intended for projects that improve environmental conditions, respond to climate impacts, and advance environmental justice.
Eligibility for the EJF include tribes, tribal organizations, nonprofit, community, and groups with fiscal sponsorship. Project awards include mid-sized up to $40,000, and large-sized with a minimum of $40,001 up to $90,000. The award length is an 18-month contract and the deadline to apply is July 26th by 5 pm. Awards will be announced on Nov. 6, 2023.

Duwamish River Opportunity Fund
The Duwamish River Opportunity Fund is also managed by the Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment, and is for new or existing programs focused on responding to the challenges faced by Duwamish River communities.
Eligibility for DROF includes include tribes, tribal organizations, nonprofit, community, and groups with fiscal sponsorship, and awards are available for projects up to $40,000. The award length is 9-month contract with a application deadline of Aug. 7 at 5 pm. Awards will be announced Nov. 6 2023.

Food Equity Fund
The Food Equity Fund Capacity Building Grant is managed by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods and is for work that contributes to an equitable and sustainable local food system.
Eligibility for the Food Equity Fund includes nonprofit, community, and fiscally sponsored organizations with an annual budget less than $500,000. Tribes and tribal organizations are also eligible to apply. Project awards from $5,000 to $20,000 are available for up to 24-month contracts. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from May 1 to Oct. 31. Awards will be announced within three weeks of a virtual interview.

King Conservation District
The KCD Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program is operated by the KCD and the Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment and is for projects that advance environmental equity and protect our natural resources and food systems.
Eligibility for KCD grants include nonprofit, community, tribal organizations, and groups with fiscal sponsorship. Awards are available for up to $75,000 and contracts are 24-months with flexibility. Applications are accepted from June 22 to Aug. 9 at 5 pm and awards will be announced in December 2023.
