
The Office of Sustainability and Environment is seeking applicants to serve on Seattle’s Green New Deal Oversight Board (GND Oversight Board). The following 3-year term seats are available:
- environmental justice organization representative
- representative with experience in greenhouse gas reduction and/or climate resiliency strategies relevant to cities
- youth representative between the ages of 16 and 25 who is directly impacted by racial, economic, and environmental injustices
- representative directly impacted by racial, economic, and environmental injustices

Time Commitment & Compensation
GND Oversight Board Members are expected to spend 6-8 hours a month on Board activities. Stipends are available for Board Members.

Seattle’s Green New Deal seeks to eliminate climate pollution by 2030 while creating jobs that advance a just and equitable transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy by prioritizing investments in communities most harmed by economic, racial, and environmental injustices.
The City of Seattle is seeking passionate individuals to serve on the Green New Deal Oversight Board (GND Oversight Board) to provide budget, policy, programmatic, and project recommendations to advance Seattle’s Green New Deal and collaborate on climate solutions that promote justice and equity for frontline communities who are most affected by the climate crisis.
