2025 KCD Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program Now Accepting Applications 

King Conservation District (KCD) and Seattle’s Office of Sustainability and Environment (OSE) are excited to announce that the 2025 Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program is now accepting applications! Organizations seeking to improve natural resources and advance environmental equity can learn more and apply at Kingcd.org/KCD-Seattle-Grant

Applications are due Monday, July 14th, 2025, by 5:00 p.m. 

The KCD Seattle Community Partnership Grant Program invests in natural resource improvements led by or co-developed with communities disproportionately impacted by environmental injustice and systemic racism. This year, $700,000 in grant funding is available for community organizations.  

Projects will be awarded no more than $75,000 and can take place over multiple years. Grants are awarded and administered by King Conservation District and City of Seattle staff and community members review applications. Eligible projects can focus on natural resource improvement, including: 

  • Managing and preventing pollution from stormwater runoff 
  • Protecting and restoring creeks, shorelines and wetlands 
  • Improving soil health  
  • Restoring urban forests, or other native plant stewardship 
  • Building a sustainable, equitable food system

There will be virtual information sessions and office hours where applicants can learn more about the program and ask questions. 

Virtual Information Sessions  

Join a virtual information session to learn more about the fund, the qualities of a strong proposal, the application and review process and to ask any questions you may have.

Technical Assistance 

New this year, technical assistance (TA) is available and free to applicants. TA consultants will be able to:  

  • Discuss your project idea for Seattle Community Partnership Grant alignment 
  • Review your draft proposal and provide feedback 
  • Provide high-level edits on your draft proposal 

To request TA, complete this form no later than Tuesday, June 24th

Drop-In Office Hours  

Drop in during the following times to meet with KCD and/or City of Seattle program staff to discuss eligibility, share project ideas, or ask questions about the process.  

  • Wednesday, June 4: 6:00-7:00 PM 
  • Tuesday, June 17: 2:00-3:00 PM 
  • Friday, July 11: 10:00-11:00 AM (mainly for online portal support)
